2015 Acura RLX

The 2015 Acura RLX is a mid-size luxury available in two versions of the sedan: the base and Sport Hybrid. There are also a number of packages that refers to the Acura technically trim levels. There is no stand-alone option. The 2015 Acura RLX base starts you with a 18-inch rims, LED headlights, sunroof, keyless ignition and entry, a tilt-and-telescoping steering, heated eight way power front seats (with power lumbar driver four directions), memory settings, leather Organic (premium vinyl) upholstery and tri-conditioning automatic. Are standard rearview camera, Bluetooth, SMS possibility of converting text to speech for phones with support and MAP 10-speaker ELS surround sound system with CD player, digital music recording, USB / iPod, HD radio and satellite radio.

2015 Acura RLX Navigation Package adds navigating on 8-inch screen, which is already at the top of the dashboard, as well as access to a suite of applications AcuraLink smartphones. In addition, the air conditioning system uses GPS nav system to control the temperature in the cabin depending on the angle of the sun.

2015 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid includes all of the above devices, but also adds a unique system of gas-electric drive, special 19-inch wheels, reducing noise in the HUD, electronic gear selector lever and a special gas pedal that encourages efficient driving.

Technology Package equips both 2015 Acura RLXmodel with rain-sensing wipers, power retractable mirrors, blind spot monitoring system, acoustic noise reduction glass, leather upholstery, wood interior accents and a 14-speaker sound system ELS. In addition, the keyless system now works on all four doors, not only the front doors and trunk. The base version also gets 19-inch wheels.

2015 Acura RLX Advance Package adds adaptive cruise control, collision mitigation system with automatic braking, support system to maintain lane, front and rear parking sensors, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats. Audio Krell package is only for 2015 Acura RLX base and adds a 14-speaker sound system Krell luxurious and full coverage in the rear seat sunshade.

2015 Acura RLX Interior Design and Special Features

You will immediately hits a huge amount of space inside the 2015 Acura RLX. It feels much more spacious than the old RL and TL. Legroom is plentiful in both the front and rear, but the 6-foot store will tight in the back seat and clearance under the front seats is low, so forget about moving feet under them. The front seats are wide and comfortable, but we found them lacking support for longer drives. Trunk flexibility is limited due to the rear seats that do not fold (no ski pass-through), but the 15.3 cubic feet of space (15.1) of the sound Krell is certainly the standard for the segment. It does not come down to 12 cubic meters of Hybrid Sport, but it is actually very good for the hybrid sedan.

Using the navigation system is easy and intuitive as Acura can look to places by a central knob, a new interface, a 7-inch touchscreen (mounted under the navigation screen, 8-inch) or an advanced voice recognition system. Unfortunately, neither the screen offers super-sharp graphics, we have come to expect from this class, and some of the more basic functions (such as turning on the heater seats) require multiple presses the virtual touch buttons, which can be distracting. The relative lack of radio settings is another disappointment.

Cab Sport Hybrid differs slightly. The 2015 Acura RLX standard HUD (Acura first) shows the power distribution system of a hybrid with normal reading speed, while the traditional shifter has been replaced by a strange electronic selector. It has buttons to park, neutral and drive, but is connected to the back of the switch, you can pull up. It is ergonomically awkward and different due to otherness.

2015 Acura RLX Powertrains and Performance

Basis 2015 Acura RLX comes standard with a 310-horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine. Front-wheel drive and a six-speed automatic transmission with Sport mode and steering wheel-mounted both paddle shifters are standard. In tests, 2015 RLX Advance package went from zero to 60 mph in 6.3 seconds, which is average for mid-size luxury sedan. EPA evaluates RLX 24 mpg city complex (20/31 highway), which are above-average numbers for the six-luxury sedan.

2015 Acura RLX Sport Hybrid comes from the same V6, but it gets there by adding a variety of three electric motors. One of them is integrated within seven automated manual transmission, sport Hybrid V6 petrol engine help power the front wheels, while others supply one rear wheel themselves. The result is a unique all-wheel-drive and a total power of 377 hp. EPA-estimated fuel economy is excellent 30 mpg combined (28/32).

2015 Acura RLX Safety

The 2015 Acura RLX is equipped with antilock disc brakes front seats, side airbags, full-length side curtain airbags and a driver's knee airbag. The camera is standard, but you have to go all the way to the Advance Package, the front and rear parking sensors. This package is also your ticket to avoid the collision and lane keeping assist. Blind spot monitoring system is included from the technology level trim package.

In tests, 2015 RLX succeeded in braking 60-0-mph 120 feet, the average number for the class. Insurance Institute for Highway Safety tests performed his set at 2015 Acura RLX, resulting in the highest score of "Good" in all tests of moderate overlap and small overlap frontal offset crash safety side, safety, impact strength roof and seat belts and head restraint design whiplash reduction.
